Mango Ginger Mojito: Gut Healthy Mocktail

There’s nothing quite like sipping on a refreshing, tropical drink to unwind and celebrate the season. And when you mix the zest of ginger, the sweetness of fresh mango, the tang of lime, and the coolness of mint, you get an irresistible Mango Ginger Mojito. But we're taking it up a notch by adding a splash of Mango Probiotic Drink, turning this mocktail into not just a treat for the taste buds but also a gut-friendly elixir!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe mango (for puree)
  • 1-2 inches fresh ginger (peeled and sliced thin)
  • handfull fresh mint
  • 1 fresh lime (plus wedges for garnish)
  • 2 oz coconut water or rum (for cocktail) (optional, for the cocktail version)
  • 4 oz Mango Probiotic Drink (https://amzn.to/40z6g7l) (I love using a naturally fermented one for an extra kick!)
  • ice
  • 1 tbsp agave sweetener

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Mango Puree: Start by peeling and chopping your ripe mango into chunks. Blend the mango pieces until smooth, creating a luscious mango puree. If you prefer your drink a little thicker, feel free to add more mango, or use less if you like it more subtle.
  • Muddle the Ingredients: In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, combine the fresh ginger slices, a handful of mint leaves, and the lime juice. Use a muddler (or the back of a spoon) to gently crush everything together. This helps release the oils from the ginger and mint and infuses the lime juice.
  • Add the Mango Puree: Pour your freshly made mango puree into the glass with the muddled ingredients. Stir well to combine all the flavors. If you like it sweeter, add your sweetener of choice at this point—just a small drizzle will do!
  • Build the Mojito: Add ice cubes to the glass and pour in the rum (if using). Stir to chill the mixture thoroughly.
