Equipment

  • Juicer (I used the Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer B6000)

Ingredients

  • 3 medium beets (peeled and chopped)
  • 4 oranges (peeled)
  • 2 inch fresh ginger (peeled)
  • 2 lemons (peeled)
  • 3 cups cold water or coconut water (for extra hydration)
  • Optional a pinch of cayenne pepper or agave (to taste)

Instructions

  • Peel and chop the beets, oranges, ginger, and lemons into smaller pieces for easier juicing or blending.
  • Add the beets, oranges, ginger, and lemons to the juicer, alternating between the ingredients.
  • Optional Add-ins: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a metabolism boost or a drizzle of agave if you prefer a sweeter taste.
  • Serve: Pour the juice evenly into 3 mason jars, seal them, and store in the fridge if not consuming immediately.

When to Drink This Pre-Workout Juice?

For best results, consume this juice about 30–60 minutes before your workout. This will give your body time to absorb the nutrients and for the nitrates in the beets to start boosting your endurance. The natural sugars in the oranges will provide quick energy, while the ginger and lemon will help keep your digestion in check and reduce inflammation.

Benefits:

  • Supports immune health with high levels of vitamin C
  • Balances body pH, keeping you energized
  • Promotes hydration, which is crucial for performance
