Blueberry Mint Mojito Recipe for gut health
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries (packed with antioxidants)
- 10-12 fresh mint leaves (promotes digestion and relaxation)
- 1/2 inch fresh ginger (supports digestive health)
- 1-2 tbsp agave (natural sweetener with a low glycemic index)
- 1 fresh lime (adds a burst of citrus)
- 1/2 coconut water (hydrates and replenishes electrolytes)
- 1/2 cup poppi prebiotic soda (optional)
- crushed ice (for a chilled drink)
- Mint sprigs, lime and extra blueberries (garnish)
Instructions
- Muddle the Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker or large glass, add the blueberries, mint leaves, and sliced ginger. Muddle (or crush) these ingredients together with a muddler or the back of a spoon. This will release all the delicious flavors, especially the mint oils and blueberry juices.
- Add Lime & Agave: Squeeze the juice of one lime into the glass, followed by the agave syrup. Agave is a great natural sweetener that provides a subtle sweetness without spiking blood sugar levels. Stir to combine.
- Pour in Coconut Water: Add the coconut water, which is rich in electrolytes and will help hydrate you while adding a slight sweetness to balance the tartness of the lime.
- Shake or Stir: If you're using a cocktail shaker, add some ice and shake the mixture vigorously for about 10-15 seconds. If you’re working in a glass, stir everything well to combine and chill.
- Top Off with Poppi Prebiotic Drink: Strain the mixture into a glass filled with crushed ice. Pour in the Poppi Prebiotic Drink to top off the cocktail. This will add a refreshing, fizzy element while boosting the drink with gut-friendly prebiotics.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a few extra blueberries for an added touch of color and flavor. For extra fizz, you can also add a splash of sparkling water.

Why This Blueberry Mint Mojito is a Super Drink
1. Packed with Antioxidants (Blueberries)
Blueberries are known for their high levels of antioxidants, particularly anthocyanins, which help fight free radicals and reduce inflammation. These tiny berries are not only delicious but also support heart health, improve memory, and may even help maintain healthy skin.
2. Supports Digestion (Ginger and Mint)
Ginger is a powerhouse when it comes to digestion. It helps reduce bloating, soothe nausea, and support overall gastrointestinal health. Meanwhile, mint has natural digestive properties that help relax the muscles in the digestive tract, promoting smoother digestion and relief from indigestion.
3. Hydrates and Replenishes (Coconut Water)
Coconut water is not only refreshing but also a natural source of electrolytes like potassium, sodium, and magnesium. It’s perfect for hydration, helping to keep your body balanced and replenished, especially on hot days.
4. Natural Sweetener (Agave Syrup)
Agave syrup is a natural alternative to refined sugar. With its low glycemic index, it provides a sweeter taste without causing spikes in blood sugar levels, making it a great option for those who want a healthier sweetening alternative.
5. Gut Health Boost (Poppi Prebiotic Drink)
Poppi Prebiotic Drink is more than just a fizzy beverage. It’s packed with prebiotics, which feed the healthy bacteria in your gut, supporting digestion, immunity, and overall well-being. A happy gut equals a happy you!
